
Immediate former Mukurweini MP Kabando wa Kabando
is recuperating at his home in Nairobi, after rowdy youths gave him a dog’s
beating at Tambaya polling station in Nyeri County on Monday.
Credible reports from police said the controversial MP was
driving outside the polling station when he encountered a group of 20 youths
who refused to let him pass.
Kabando decided to engage the youths and as the scuffle ensued,
youths descended on him injuring his lower lip
Seeing that he may escape death by a whisker, Kabando run to
the nearest police station where he recorded his statement.
But later in the night, Kabando posted a message in his Facebook
page confirming he had sought medical attention and recorded a statement with
the police.
“Yes
they've spilled my blood, hurt, but nobody can subdue my spirit. God, and the
law, will judge. Am out of hospital. Goodnight pals. Peace to Kenya. Peace,”
emotional Kabando wrote.
