Immediate former Mukurweini MP Kabando wa Kabando is recuperating at his home in Nairobi, after rowdy youths gave him a dog’s beating at Tambaya polling station in Nyeri County on Monday.

Credible reports from police said the controversial MP was driving outside the polling station when he encountered a group of 20 youths who refused to let him pass.

Kabando decided to engage the youths and as the scuffle ensued, youths descended on him injuring his lower lip

Seeing that he may escape death by a whisker, Kabando run to the nearest police station where he recorded his statement.

But later in the night, Kabando posted a message in his Facebook page confirming he had sought medical attention and recorded a statement with the police.

“Yes they've spilled my blood, hurt, but nobody can subdue my spirit. God, and the law, will judge. Am out of hospital. Goodnight pals. Peace to Kenya. Peace,” emotional Kabando wrote.
