Controversial Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has confirmed the much rumoured love affair between him and Rachael Shebbesh after a series of denial of the matter which went public during the last general election campaigns.
Love struck Sonko furiously charged at his Kisumu counterpart Anyang’ Nyong’o when during one of the House sessions, he compared Shebbesh to the late Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.
Sonko a married man with daughters, has been struggling to fight speculations touching on his love affair with Shebbesh but love overpowered him when he threatened to punch Nyongo’ over the reference, to the amazement of other House members.
Amused by the confrontation, nominated Senator Elizabeth Ongoro, who was the session’s chair mockingly asked Sonko to explain why only he took offence with Nyongo’s reference even as other members appeared unaffected.
