Kethi Kilonzo should not allow herself to be used by Wiper Party

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga launched a scathing attack on the Government which he accused failing to deliver on its promises, three months since taking over power.

Raila, whose sentiments were echoed by seven CORD legislators, accused the Government of having its priorities upside down. He termed the Government as a hyena in a sheep’s wool.

He wondered why the Government is carrying on with plans to provide laptops to primary school pupils yet there are children who have pressing needs and are learning under trees or dilapidated classrooms.

He dismissed President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto’s assertion that they are of the digital age, saying he is more tech-savvy than them.

“They talk of digital but I understand it more than them. I am an engineer by profession and I was a lecturer at the university. I have more knowledge than them because they only learnt social sciences in college,” he said.

He continued: “I am an updated engineer. I know systems and designs. Now tell me, if you give a hungry Class One pupil a computer, will he come back with it in the evening.”
He was speaking at Kabiro Primary School in Dagoretti North constituency during an ceremony to hand out bursary to local pupils.

Present were MPs Tim Wanyonyi, Simba Arati, TJ Kajwang’, Richard Onyonka, John Mbadi, Ken Okoth and Mary Otara.
