Mwingi Central MP Step Down for Kalonzo to go Back to Parliament ...

Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka could be headed back to Parliament after an MP agreed to step down and force a by-election, reports from the Cord retreat in Naivasha indicate.

Mwingi  Central MP Joe Mutambu has allegedly agreed to resign, paving way for Kalonzo to run for the seat in the by-election to fill the seat.

The report also indicates that Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula will be the Senate Minority Leader while Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama will be Cord’s Chief Whip.

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has chosen to stay out of Parliament and will lead the opposition from outside the House.
