A cloud of sorrow has engulfed a small village in Migori
county after a man took his own life following Raila Odinga’s loss to Uhuru
Kenyatta in the petition at the Supreme Court.
Neighbours stated that they had known the deceased to be a
strong supporter of Raila Odinga but could not imagine that the loss at the
Supreme Court could have such a terrible impact on him.
The man was reported to have hanged himself dressed in full orange
colours from his cap to his socks. These are the colours that symbolize the
party ODM.
They neighbours also revealed that he had left a note
stating that he had no more reason to live if Raila was not the fourth
president of Kenya.
The incident was confirmed by Migori police boss, Mr.Richard
Gitonga.
Gitonga urged the people to move on with their lives stating that
elections should not be a do or die affair.
