KNUT boss David Okuta dies in Nairobi....

Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Secretary General David Okuta has died. Okuta died at the Aga Khan Hospital where he was rushed after developing breathing problems.


Mr Okuta had earlier in September last year been admitted to Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu after suffering from an undisclosed ailment. He was admitted at the facility’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU).


Later in October, President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta accompanied teachers and KNUT officials to give his support and prayers to  Okuta as he was recovering.

 He asked Kenyans to pray for his quick recovery and good health.
