Kenyatta University student admitted after gunmen attack hostel..

A university student is admitted in hospital after he was thrown out of the window by gunmen who raided their hostel in Kahawa Wendani area, Nairobi.


The thugs attacked the Kenyatta University students and robbed them of their valuables.


Brian Otieno, a third year environmental studies student was in his rented room at the hostel on Tuesday night when a gang raided them and demanded for money. 


Otieno was in the company of another colleague at about 11.45 pm when the incident happened at the Green Estate. His colleague jumped off the building but was not injured.
They told police that the two-gang members with handcuffs were armed and dressed in police uniform.


They first tied the uninjured student, as they demanded for cash and other valuables. It was then that an argument broke out prompting the gang to push Otieno out through the window.


Kasarani head of CID Valerian Obore said the gang later escaped on foot after robbing the students of two laptops, two mobile phones and Sh2,000.



The student is admitted at Kenyatta National Hospital in a stable condition. We are hunting for the gang that is still at large,  said Obore.
