Political Scientist, Mutahi Ngunyi has
disagreed with the ongoing controversial debate that the rejected voters should
be added on the final tally of votes.
On his twitter account on Wednesday,
Mutahi, who is popular for his incisive analysis on political matters, said
section 77 (1) of the Election Regulation Act is clear on the ongoing debate.
Here are some of his
tweets.
Mutahi Ngunyi#Section
77(1) of ELECTION REGULATIONS states that rejected ballots shall be ".void
and shall not be counted". What law is applying?
Mutahi Ngunyi#Rejected
votes have now become the 9th candidate. If this candidate becomes second, who
will the run-off be between? This is unprecedented!
